Alfredo mac and cheese

Ingredients

    ml
    olive oil
  • 200
    g
    streaky bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 quantity three cheese Alfredo sauce
  • 250
    g
    elbow macaroni, cooked according to the packet instructions
  • 25
    ml
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 5
    ml
    dried Italian herbs
  • Parmesan cheese shavings
  • extra bacon (optional)
 

Method

20-30 min
 

 Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a medium ovenproof dish with butter.

1 Heat the oil in a large saucepan and fry the bacon and onion until crisp.

2 Add the threecheese Alfredo sauce and stir until well combined.

3 Add the cooked pasta and mix until coated in the sauce.

4 Spoon the mixture into the prepared dish. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and herbs on top. Bake or 20-30 minutes or until the cheese has melted and browned. Top with the Parmesan cheese shavings and extra bacon (if using) and serve immediately
