1. PnP cream biscuits
These budget-friendly cream biscuits are set to become a staple over at the Food24 office as they’re just perfect for afternoon tea! Whether you choose vanilla, custard, strawberry, choc mint or double chocolate, they each really deliver on the flavour and have a good cream-to-biscuit ratio.
2. McCain Emotibites
Potatoes: check! Fried potatoes: check, check, CHECK. We love crispy potatoes and these emoticon shapes are such a fun addition to any kids’ lunchbox.
Looking for the perfect accompaniment for these McCain Emotibites? Check out our list of 17 lekker local dips and sauces to stock up on.
3. Woolworths Ayrshire Double Cream Strained Pink Lady Apple Yoghurt
The sweet bite of Pink Lady apples pairs just beautifully with creamy, tangy yoghurt. Best believe us when we say this will become your yoghurt of choice! Spoon it over granola for breakfast, layer it with fruit and nuts for a healthy sundae, or enjoy it as is for a snack any time of the day.
4. PnP soya smoothies
For a tasty but healthy plant-based snack, Pick n Pay’s new soya milk smoothie range is just the ticket. Available in strawberry, passion fruit, and chocolate and peanut butter, the smoothies are flavourful and not too sweet – although the soya milk is evident in the aftertaste. The range is also naturally lactose-free and made with coconut oil.
5. Woolworths Plantlove Tempeh Balls, Cubes and Rounds
Woolies is putting the not-so-new plant-based protein on the block to the test with their new range. Tempeh is now available as balls, cubes and rounds, and it doesn’t matter which one you choose – they’re all delicious, convenient and versatile.
6. DanUp Boost Multigrain & Yoghurt Blend
There really is no excuse to skip the “most important meal of the day” now. Danone’s latest product is a blend of yoghurt, grains and guarana for that extra energy boost. Whether you opt for the original flavour or berry, this is ideal for those busy weekday mornings.
7. Woolworths Kids Low Fat Strawberry Flavoured Smooth Yoghurt Choobes
For those days when you just need to keep it simple, make sure you have a pack of these yoghurt choobes ready to go. Packed with all the goodness of low-fat yoghurt, this is the new convenient way to ensure your kids have a healthy snack on the run.
8. PnP Kids fruit, snack and granola bars
For more snacking options for the little ones, cast an eye over PnP Kids’ range of yummy fruit, snack and granola bars. The fruit bars are all date-based and packed with dried fruit – choose from apple or apricot. The granola and snack bars contain slightly more sugar (if you’re keeping an eye in that department), but nonetheless are a yummy option for the occasional sweet treat. Available in cacao and oats, honey and yoghurt, berry and yoghurt, and peanut and chocolate flavours.
9. PnP Salted Peanut Brittle and clusters
And once you’ve gotten the kids packed and out the door, it’s time to sit back and relax with a treat or two for yourself! We highly recommend Pick n Pay’s new Salted Peanut Brittle – the sweet caramel has that perfect hit of salt that just keeps us coming back for more. Warning: you will be tempted to eat them all in one go.
In addition to salted peanut brittle, Pick n Pay now also has a range of nut clusters that are too good to share. Available in peanut brittle, chai and almond, and blueberry and hazelnut flavours, these clusters are the perfect size for snacking and they’re packed full of yummy nuts and berries.
10. Master 3D Corn Oval chips
Speaking of easy snacking, say hello to these moreish corn chips. They’re perfectly crisp but so easy to bite into, you’ll be forgiven for devouring the whole packet in one sitting. Available in cheese and sweet chilli flavours.
11. Woolworths Mini Chicken Kievs and Pigs in a Blanket
For a quick lunch or weekend snacks, Woolworths never disappoints. And their extensive range is always expanding, this time with two new additions: mini chicken kievs and the classic pigs in a blanket. Serve them as is with one of Woolies’ dips or sauces, or grab a few other goodies as well for the ultimate snack platter.
12. PnP Live Plant Based Culture Soya
The Live Plant Based range of plant-based yoghurts made with cultured soya and coconut oil is creamy without being heavy and they have the ideal balance of sweetness. The soy flavour is quite apparent, however, so if you are not a fan of soy milk, go for one of the flavoured options instead. Choose from mixed Bberry or peach and apricot (or plain, if you prefer).

These chicken burger patties are perfect for burger night or a quick lunch. Serve them with a slice of cheddar cheese, lettuce and mayo on a bun, and you’re good to go!
2. Nando’s Peri-Peri Bag & Bake
Almost no one does peri-peri chicken as well as Nando’s, and if you can’t get to your local on a weekday night, don’t worry. This is where their Bag & Bakes come in super handy! And now they have two delicious local flavours to add to their offering: Cheeky Chakalaka and Ushizi Biltong.
3. Spur Smokey Peri Peri Sauce and Creamy Garlic Peri-Peri Sauce
Spur sauces are the gift that keeps on giving: they’re great for marinating, dipping and drizzling, and offer the perfect blend of spice and tanginess.
