vegetable oil — for frying
1 onion — small, chopped
250 ml fruit chutney
250 ml tomato sauce
25 ml balsamic vinegar
50 ml Worcestershire sauce
25 ml brown sugar
1 ml smoked paprika
2 ml Tabasco sauce
salt — just a pinch

Method:

Over medium heat, soften the onion in a glug of oil.

Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low heat until thickened – about 25 minutes.
