Trout and cucumber sandwiches

Trout and salmon are also rich in omega-3 oils, which aid brain function and concentration. To make these sandwiches extra-healthy, we’ve added other nutrient-rich ingredients.

Ingredients (9)

SPREAD
30 ml cream cheese
15 ml mayonnaise
15 ml fresh chives — chopped
freshly ground black pepper
SANDWICHES
4 bread — rye, sliced
salad greens
½ cucumber
2 celery stalks
2 smoked trout — strips

Method:

1. Spread: Mix the ingredients well.

2. Sandwiches:
Add generous amounts of the spread to each slice of bread, smooth­ing it with a
knife.

3. Cut the
cucumber into ribbons with a vegetable peeler. Julienne the celery.

4. Put a few
salad greens on two of the slices of bread. Layer the celery, trout or salmon
and cucumber ribbons on top.

5. Finish with a layer of peach or
apple (if using), followed by another layer of greens. Top each stack with the other slice of bread and serve.
