Ingredients (12)

50.00 g castor sugar
125.00 ml port
0.00 orange — peel, strips
6.00 cloves
2.00 cinnamon — stick
750.00 ml orange juice
750.00 ml wine — dry red
125.00 ml brandy
1.00 Litres lemonade
1.00 orange — quartered, sliced
1.00 lime — thinly sliced
1.00 apples — red, quartered, sliced

Combine the sugar, port, orange rind, spices and juice in a saucepan.
Heat over a low to medium heat until sugar has dissolved, then simmer for five minutes.
Remove from the heat and cool.
Add alcohol, lemonade, orange and lime and refrigerate overnight or for at least three hours.
Add the apple just before serving.
Makes 3,5 litres.
