Potato bake to die for
|1.5 kg||potatoes — cooked, peel|
|500 g||bacon — diced|
|2 tbsp||garlic — cloves, chopped|
|1||green pepper — sliced|
|2||onion — diced|
|250 g||cheddar cheese|
|1 tsp||freshly ground black pepper|
Grease pyrex dish and set oven temperature to 180°C.
Lightly fry bacon, green pepper and onion in pan.
Add garlic, salt and pepper.
Slice cooked and peeled potatoes and line base of dish.
Cover with layer of fried ingredients.
Continue with these two layers ending with a potato layer.
Cover with grated cheddar cheese and pour fresh or tinned cream over.
Bake until golden brown on middle rack.
