Ingredients (10)

375.00 ml flour — cake
5.00 ml Bicarbonate of soda
1.00 ml salt
125.00 g butter
250.00 ml brown sugar
1.00 eggs — extra-large
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
250.00 ml peanut butter — smooth
250.00 ml peanuts — coarsely chopped
275.00 g milk chocolate — broken into pieces

Combine the dry ingredients.
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla essence.
Add the peanut butter and mix well.
Add the dry ingredients, mixing well.
Add the peanuts and mix.
Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill for about two hours.
Preheat the oven to 180 &degC.
Line two baking sheets with baking paper and grease once more.
Break off about 30 ml of the dough and roll into a ball.
Press a piece of chocolate into the centre of the ball and cover with the dough.
Repeat with the remaining dough and chocolate.
Arrange the balls on the baking sheets, leaving enough room in between for the cookies to spread.
Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
Leave to cool slightly on the baking sheets before carefully transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
