Guava tartlets

Ingredients (6)

6 guavas — peeled
2 orange — juice only
400 g puff pastry — defrosted
30 ml sugar
30 ml butter

Thickly slice the guavas, pour over the orange juice and set aside.

Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into six circles. Place the circles on a greased baking tray.

Using a sharp knife, make an incision in the upper layer of the pastry circles about 5mm from the edge, but don’t cut right through. Lay the guavas inside the circle, slightly overlapping.

Sprinkle sugar over each tartlet and dot with butter. Bake for about 20 – 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Drizzle honey over the tartlets and place under a preheated grill. Grill for 4 – 5 minutes, or until they start to brown. Serve with cream or vanilla ice cream.
