Deep fried brussels sprouts
|500 g||brussel sprouts|
|olive oil — for deep frying|
|1 Tbs||fresh chillies — 573|
|½ cup||breadcrumbs — toasted|
|2 Tbs||fresh parsley — chopped|
|1 Tbs||fresh basil — chopped|
|lemon — halved, zest only|
Brussels sprouts – Heat the olive oil and fry the brussels sprouts for +- 5 minutes till golden brown.
Allow the excess oil to drain on paper.
Poor man’s parmesan – heat the olive oil over medium heat in a pan and add the bread crumbs. Toast till light brown – stir continuously. Be cautious not to burn the bread crumbs.
Remove from the the heat and add to the rest of the ingredients.
Sprinkle over the brussels sprouts.
