|1/2 cup||water — hot|
|2 Tbs||sugar — or honey or xylitol|
|1||cinnamon — stick|
|1||grapefruit — large,zest and juice|
|1||wine — sparkling wine|
Add all ingredients except the bubbly to a small pot, bring to a simmer and then allow to reduce by half or until slightly syrupy (will take 10-15 minutes).
Remove from the heat, allow to cool, strain and divide between 4 champagne glasses, top with your chilled champagne and serve immediately.
