Green goodness power smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3
    cup
    water or coconut water
  • 2
    cup
    baby spinach or kale - roughly chopped
  • ½
    avocado
  • ¼
    medium - sized English cucumber
  • 1
    courgette
  • 1
    stick celery - roughly chopped
  • 1
    apple or 1 kiwi or 1/2 cup chopped pineapple
  • squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1
    thumb - sized piece of fresh ginger - skin on
  • 2
    Tbs
    ground almonds or 1 serving pea protein powder
  • 1
    Tbs
    fresh basil or mint - chopped
  • 1
    Tbs
    spirulina or hemp seed powder ( or moringa powder or your favourite green powder)
  • 1
    Tbs
    chia seeds
  • 1
    Tbs
    baobab powder
 

Method

5 - 10 mins
 

Blend the smoothie ingredients together in a high-speed blender until smooth. Loosen with a little extra water if you find it too thick.

Divide between glass jars. Refrigerate for up to one day.

Love Your Leftovers: Save the ends of your courgettes when spiralising by stashing them all in a freezer bag, and use them to add to your green smoothies as and when needed.
