Baked guava pudding

    tin halved guavas in syrup

    castor sugar

    vanilla essence

    self raising flour

Preheat the oven to 180.
In a food processor, cream the butter and sugar together until light and creamy.
Then add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla essence.
Add half the flour and half the milk and blend a bit before adding the remaining flour and milk.
Blend until smooth.
Pour the guavas and the syrup into a 20 X 20 pyrex dish.
Spread the batter over the guavas - Don't worry about the syrup, it will get absorbed by the sponge once baked.
Bake for +- 40 minutes.
Allow to stand for a few minutes.
