Creamy garlic potato mash with chilli minced beef

Ingredients (18)

MASH
4 potatoes
4 garlic cloves
150 ml cream
2 tbsp butter
salt and freshly ground black pepper
MINCE
400 g beef mince
1/2 onion — chopped
1/4 green pepper
1/4 yellow pepper
1/4 green pepper
2 tbsp Rhodes Quality Tomato Paste
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp garlic flakes
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
50 ml olive oil

Method:

For the mash:

Place the potatoes in a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then reduce heat to maintain a rolling boil.

Cook until potatoes are soft. Peel off the potato skin and keep aside in a pot.

In a pan, fry the garlic cloves (unchopped) until they are soft. Add the garlic to the potatoes.

Add cream and butter. Season with salt and pepper then start mashing until the potatoes are creamy and thick.

For the mince:

Heat olive oil and sauté onion, garlic and peppers for 5-10min. Add the minced beef and stir.

Add all the spices then stir in the tomato paste and sweet chilli. Add 100ml of water and let it simmer for 5min. 

Serve it with creamy garlic mash potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley.
