Yashini's trifle

  • 6
  • almonds
  • grated dark cooking chocolate
  • 6
    scoops of vanilla ice cream (or flavour of your choice)
  • chocolate sauce
  • yoghurt
  • castor sugar
  • vanilla essence
  • fresh or frozen berries to decorate


Use one strawberry per glass and cut into five slices.
Arrange in the bottom of each glass.
Sprinkle with a few almonds and grated dark cooking chocolate.
Spoon a scoop of ice cream on top.
Make a quick chocolate sauce or use a commercial sauce and spoon over the ice cream.
Make a Chantilly yoghurt by mixing plain yoghurt with a little castor sugar and vanilla essence and spoon over the ice cream.
Decorate with fresh or frozen berries.
