Spinach, bacon and Parmesan salad

    spinach leaves, lightly torn into small pieces
  • 3
    rashers bacon, diced
  • 30
    olive oil
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2
    thick slices white bread, diced
  • Parmesan cheese
  • French dressing, heated


Wash and arrange spinach in serving dishes. Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan. Add olive oil and garlic to pan, sauté briefly and add bread. Sauté until golden. Scatter hot croûtons and bacon over spinach leaves. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and piquant French dressing. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 2 300 kJ (550 Cal). A portion: 1 150 kJ (275 Cal).
