Spaghetti with bacon

    streaky bacon, cut into pieces
  • 3
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • olive oil
  • 5
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • salt and black pepper to taste

    Cheddar cheese, grated

Cook the spaghetti in rapidly boiling salted water till soft. Drain and set aside. Fry the bacon and crushed garlic in a little olive oil till the bacon is cooked but not crisp. Add the spaghetti and mix. Season the eggs with salt and pepper and stir into the spaghetti mixture. Continue stirring with a fork till the egg coats the spaghetti. Stir in the cheese, heating till the cheese has melted and the egg is done. Serve with Parmesan cheese, if desired, and a salad. Serves 4-6.
