Sesame chicken toasties

  • 250
    deboned, skinless raw chicken meat
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 3
    ground ginger
  • 10

    egg white, lightly beaten
  • 6
    thin slices white bread
  • 75
    sesame seeds
  • oil for deep frying


1. Place chicken in a food processor and mince; add garlic, ginger, cornflour, seasoning and egg white. 2. Remove crusts from bread and spread minced mixture over one side of each slice. 3. Dip bread, mince-side-down, into sesame seeds to coat. 4. Just before serving, deep-fry toasts in hot oil until golden brown, drain on kitchen paper and sprinkle lightly with salt. Makes 24.
