Ingredients (8)

6.00 eggs
250.00 ml milk
750.00 ml flour
250.00 ml sunflower oil — or olive oil
10.00 ml Baking powder
5.00 ml salt
ham — ham or Portuguese chorizo
1.00 eggs — whites only

Method:

1. Beat the eggs well. Add the milk, flour and oil alternately to the mixture, beating continuously.
2. At the end, add the baking powder.
3. Grease a 22 cm oven dish, preferably one with a hole in the middle.
4. Place a thick layer of the batter in the dish and then a layer of the meat. Continue doing this until batter is finished, ending with a batter layer. Brush the top with a little egg white and bake in a preheated 180 ºC oven until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
