Ingredients (10)

1.00 kg potatoes
1.00 onion — finely chopped
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
1.00 green pepper — large, deseeded and cubed
5.00 ml paprika
2.00 ml caraway seeds
tomatoes — large, peeld and chopped
250.00 ml stock — chicken
125.00 ml sour cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper — to taste

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray a 24 x 5 cm oven dish with non-stick spray.
Peel and slice the potatoes and cook till not quite tender. Drain and, arrange in the prepared dish.
Saute the onion and garlic in a little oil till soft. Add the green pepper and saute till soft. Add the paprika, caraway seeds and chopped tomato and simmer till the tomato is soft. Add the chicken stock and simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the sour cream and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the potatoes, cover with aluminium foil and bake for about 30-40 minutes or till the potatoes are completely done. Serve with braaivleis.
Serves 4-6.
