Pancakes with banana, nuts and maple syrup

  • 60
    walnuts or hazelnuts
  • 2
  • 4
  • syrup, preferably maple


Preheat grill.
Roughly chop nuts - simply place them in a plastic bag and give them a few wallops with a wine bottle or something similar.
Toss into a dry pan and toast to brown slightly - keep a beady eye on them or they'll burn in seconds.
Slice bananas into 3 or 4 chunks.
Heat pancakes.
Arrange a stack of pancakes on a plate, top with bananas and toasted nuts and drizzle with maple syrup.
