Ingredients (12)

700.00 g ostrich — boiled
115.00 g ham — smoked
45.00 ml butter
45.00 ml oil
1.00 onion — roughly chopped
1.00 celery stalks — chopped
1.00 pepper — red or yellow, strips
45.00 ml flour — cake
3.00 tomatoes — peeled, seeded and chopped
1.50 Litres stock — beef
1.00 ml caraway seeds
0.00 fresh parsley — chopped, to garnish

Method:

Cut the cooked ostrich meat and ham into strips.Dust with the flour and stir-fry for five minutes or until the flour begins to brown.
Add the tomatoes, stock and meat and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes over low heat.
Sprinkle with the caraway seeds just before serving. Serve garnished with parsley.
