Meat and fruit salad

    g
    cooked leftover meat
  • 50
    ml
    French salad dressing
  • 2
    red apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1
    head lettuce, broken into leaves, rinsed and patted dry
 

Method

 
Slice the meat into strips or paper-thin slices. Place in a ceramic or glass bowl and pour the salad dressing of your choice (see recipes) over the meat. Marinate for 3-4 hours. Drain the meat and arrange with apple slices and lettuce leaves in a glass bowl. Chill until needed. Pour any salad dressing over the salad just before serving or serve separately. Serves 6.
