Ingredients (5)

1.00 kg potatoes
200.00 ml milk — hot
5.00 ml salt
50.00 g butter
30.00 ml fresh chillies — 573

Method:

Peel, boil and drain the potatoes. Return the potatoes to the pan.
Heat the milk in a saucepan until hot, then pour over potatoes. Add the butter, or if you prefer, the olive oil.
Mash vigorously with a potato masher, or use a hand-held blender. Continue mashing until all the lumps have gone and the mash is smooth.
