Herb loaf

  • 250
  • 50
    freshly chopped herbs such as thyme, chives and parsley
  • 2
    cloves garlic, finely crushed
  • 1
    French loaf, sliced but not cut all the way through


Blend all the ingredients in a food processor and spread each side of each slice of bread with the spread. Spread the outside of the loaf with the spread. Wrap the loaf in aluminium foil and place over medium coals until the spread has melted and the loaf is heated through. Leftover spread can be frozen for later use.
