Halftime kebabs

    pieces of streaky bacon
  • 12
    prunes, stones removed
  • 8
    frozen beef or pork sausages, each cut into 3 pieces
  • 12
    cherry tomatoes
  • 1
    large green pepper, cut into squares


Soak 12 kebab skewers in hot water to prevent them burning. Wrap each prune in a strip of bacon. Thread a wrapped prune, two pieces of sausage, a cherry tomato and a green pepper square on each skewer. Braai over medium coals or cook under the oven grill until brown and cooked through.
