Fish in sour cream

  • 800
    hake fillets
  • milk
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh breadcrumbs
  • 250
    sour cream
  • 1
    tomato, sliced
  • 150
    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • chopped parsley


Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease an oven pan. Dip the hake fillets in milk and season lightly with salt and pepper. Roll in the breadcrumbs and arrange in the prepared dish. Pour the sour cream over the fish and arrange tomato slices on top. Sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake for about 30 minutes or till the fish is done and the cheese has melted. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serves 4-6.
