Chocolate squares with cherry sauce

  • 1
    packet instant cake mix, chocolate flavour
  • 410
    black cherries in syrup
  • 5
  • 1
    tot Van der Hum liqueur


Prepare the instant cake mix as described on the packaging and bake in a square cake tin. Cool until lukewarm, cut into pieces and serve as a pudding with the following sauce. Drain the cherries and blend the syrup and cornflour. Bring to the boil while stirring, stir in the cherries and heat until warm. Add the liqueur and spoon over the chocolate cake pieces. Serves 4.
