Ingredients (5)

250.00 g butter
1.00 ml salt
250.00 ml sour cream
750.00 ml flour — cake
250.00 ml cheddar cheese — grated

Method:

Beat the butter and salt together with a wooden spoon.
Gradually stir in the cream.
Add small quantities of the flour at a time, stirring until the flour is just incorporated after each addition.
Add only enough flour to make a dough that’s easy to roll out.
Mix in the cheese (if using) with the last of the flour you’re adding.
Lightly roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into long fingers.
Arrange on greased baking sheets and bake at 180 °C for about 10 to 15 minutes or until done and golden brown.
Serve as a snack.
