Basic French dressing

  • 50
    white wine vinegar
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 15
    dry mustard
  • salt and black pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • 150
    sunflower oil


Mix together all ingredients except the oil. Slowly whisk in the oil until thick, adjust seasoning. Add more vinegar for a sharper taste. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar can be used as a variation.
