Comforting cranberry and apple pie

Simplicity is at the heart of this comforting treat and this version is also so much quicker to make than a traditional apple pie. Serve it with cream, custard or ice cream for the ultimate indulgence!

Ingredients (8)

2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup walnuts — chopped
5 cranberries — chopped
3 red apples — unpeeled and cut into wedges
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 cup flour — cake
cream — or ice cream, to serve

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish. Whisk the eggs in the prepared dish, along with the sugar. Add the nuts, cranberries and apples, and stir together. Sift the baking powder and flour over and mix well. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until golden.

Serve with cream or ice cream.
