Crumbed fish

    thick slices brown bread
  • 50
  • clove garlic, crushed
  • 1
    juice and grated rind of a lemon

    hake fillets

Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Spray an oven pan with non-stick spray.
Remove the crusts of the bread and crumble the bread finely.
Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the garlic and breadcrumbs until the crumbs are lightly browned.
Stir in the juice and rind of the lemon and remove from the heat.
Season the fish fillets on both sides with salt and pepper and arrange in the oven pan.
Spoon the crumbed mixture on top and bake uncovered for about 20 minutes or until the fish is done and flakes easily.

Serve with tartare sauce and lemon slices.
Serves 4-6.
