250 g fruitcake mix

100 g mixed citrus peel — finely sliced
175 g ginger — preserve, finely sliced
500 g green fig preserve — chopped
500 g glacé cherries
125 ml brandy
BATTER
250 g butter — softened
375 ml castor sugar
eggs — large, at room temperature
slightly lukewarm
5 ml vanilla — essence
500 ml flour — cake
2.5 ml salt
500 g pecan nuts — roughly chopped
125 - 250 ml brandy
