    bag Woolies vegetable and barley soup mix

    chicken stock

Seperate barley/lentil mix from fresh ingredients, keep aside. Saute vegetables on low heat until soft. Add crushed garlic. Season chicken well and brown. Now: layer cast iron dish, first the barley and lentils, then the vegetables, then the chicken, skin side up. Add stock. Cover with foil or lid. Bake at 160C for 1 hour. Remove lid/foil, bake for 30 minutes to brown chicken.
