    chicken fillets
  • 1
    bunch spring onions, white part only
  • chilli pepper to taste
  • YAKITORI SAUCE
  • 30
    ml
    low-salt soy sauce
  • 15
    ml
    sugar
  • 15
    ml
    mirin
  • 15
    ml
    sake (rice wine)
  • sunflower oil for frying
 

Method

 
SAUCE: Mix ingredients together and cook for 1 hour over low heat. Cut chicken fillets and spring onion into 2 cm pieces and thread onto 4 skewer. Fry over medium heat, turning often, and pour sauce over chicken just before serving. Arrange chicken on a plate and serve sprinkled with chilli pepper. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 3 440 kJ (820 Cal). A portion: 860 kJ (205 Cal).
