Tuna paella

  • TUNA BALLS
  • 200
    g
    tuna, drained
  • 1
    medium-sized carrot, scraped and grated
  • 1
    slice bread, soaked in milk (squeeze out excess milk)
  • 1
    egg, whisked
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying
  • RICE
  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • ml
    turmeric
  • 1
    ml
    cayenne pepper
  • 1
    Litres
    cooked rice
  • 250
    ml
    peas (optional)
 

Method

 
Lightly mix all the ingredients for the tuna balls with a fork. Shape into balls and fry in a little oil until done. Makes about 12 balls. RICE: Sauté the onion in a little oil until soft and add the turmeric and cayenne pepper. Add the rice and stir-fry until well mixed. Add the peas and heat until warmed through. Serve on a platter and arrange the tuna balls on top. Serve with slices of lemon. Serves 3-4.
