Three-bean salad

    quantity basic sweet 'n-sour sauce
  • 2
    cans beans in tomato sauce
  • 2
    cans butter beans, drained
  • 2
    cans green beans, drained
  • 2
    onions, chopped
  • 2
    green peppers, seeded and cut into strips
  • few bleached sultanas


Prepare the basic curry sauce as described. Boil the onions until just tender and drain. Add the boiling sauce and bring to the boil once more. Spoon into sterilised jars while still hot and seal immediately. Makes about 2 litres salad.
