    butter

    onion, diced
  • 1
    green pepper, diced
  • 1
    small carrot, scraped and diced
  • 440
    g
    pineapple chunks with syrup
  • 2
    ml
    ginger
  • 15
    ml
    soft brown sugar
  • 1
    chicken stock cube
  • 10
    ml
    soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
 

Method

 
Heat the butter and sauté the onion, green pepper and carrot until tender. Add the pineapple and remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken the sauce with cornflour if necessary and season with salt and pepper. Makes about 1 litre sauce.
