    oranges, sliced

    lemons, sliced
  • 7

    piece stick cinnamon
  • 420
    g
    castor sugar
  • 750
    ml
    water
  • 1500
    ml
    red wine
  • 50
    ml
    brandy
  • 1
    Litres
    soda water
  • ice cubes
 

Method

 
Place the orange and lemon slices into a large mixing bowl and add the cinnamon. Dissolve the castor sugar in the water over low heat and allow to boil for two minutes. Pour the syrup over the fruit and allow to stand or four hours at least. Add the red wine and the brandy and allow to cool. Add the soda water and ice cubes just before serving. Makes 3,5 litres.
