Heat the butter and half the oil in a frying pan.
Add the Thai spice and stir. Add a few of the calamari rings and fry over a medium to high heat for about two minutes until just cooked.
Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining calamari.
Arrange the remaining salad ingredients on individual plates and top with the hot calamari.
Whisk the remaining oil with the dressing ingredients.
Drizzle over the salad and serve immediately.
