Spicy meatball stew

    g
    lean beef mince
  • 250
    ml
    fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 1
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1
    large egg, lightly beaten
  • 15
    ml
    ground coriander
  • 250
    ml
    beef stock
  • 410
    g
    chakalaka
  • 150
    g
    green beans, halved
 

Method

Mix mince, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg and coriander together in a large bowl until well combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Dust your hands with flour and roll mixture into balls. Mix beef stock and chakalaka together in a large saucepan and heat. When mixture is simmering gently, place meatballs carefully into the saucepan. Add beans, cover with a lid and allow to simmer gently for 20 minutes. Serve with rice, mashed or baked potato. Serves 4.
