    orange juice

    pineapple-and-carrot juice

    juice and rind of lemon
  • 150
    ml
    sugar
  • 500
    ml
    water
  • 6
    whole cloves
  • 2
    ml
    ground nutmeg
  • 2
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 750
    ml
    ginger ale
  • crushed ice cubes
 

Method

 
Blend the fruit juices and the lemon rind. Chill. Mix the sugar, water, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon in a saucepan and heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil and remove from the heat. Cool and add to the fruit juice and chill. Add the ginger ale and crushed ice just before serving. Serves 10 (makes about 2 1/2 litres).
