Sardine toasted sandwich

Ingredients

    g
    sardines, mashed
  • 5
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 15
    ml
    grated onion
  • 15
    ml
    grated carrot
  • 15
    ml
    finely chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 15
    ml
    chutney
  • 8
    slices white bread, buttered
 

Method

5-10 minutes
 
Blend all the ingredients except the buttered bread. Spread four of the slices with the mixture and cover with the remaining four slices. Toast the sandwiches OR dip them in beaten egg and fry in shallow oil until brown. Quarter the sandwiches and serve with a glass of milk.
