Rich chocolate cheesecake

    g
    chocolate biscuits, crushed
  • 125
    g
    butter, melted
  • 380
    g
    can chocolate-flavoured sweetened condensed milk
  • 250
    g
    tub creamed cottage cheese
  • 250
    ml
    thick cream
  • 45
    ml
    cocoa powder, sifted
  • 60
    ml
    boiling water
  • 25
    ml
    gelatine
  • 30
    ml
    cold water
  • cocoa powder or chocolate curls to garnish
 

Method

 
Grease a 24 cm loose-bottomed cake tin.
Mix the crushed biscuits and melted butter and press the mixture on the bottom and up the sides of the tin. Chill.
Beat the condensed milk, cottage cheese and cream together.
Blend the cocoa powder and boiling water to form a paste and add to the condensed milk mixture.
Sprinkle the gelatine over the cold water, leave it to sponge then dissolve over hot water or in the microwave oven (do not allow to boil).
Beat into the chocolate mixture and pour the filling into the crumb crust.
Chill for 24 hours or until set.
Remove from the tin, dust with cocoa powder, or decorate with chocolate curls.
