Raisin squares

    yellow sugar

    egg, beaten
  • 30

    pecan nuts, chopped
  • 45

    oats
  • 225
    g
    raisins
  • 145
    g
    cake flour
  • 7
    ml
    baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 5
    ml
    cinnamon
  • 125
    ml
    milk
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Beat the butter and sugar together. Add the beaten egg and mix well. Mix in the nuts, oats and raisins. Sift the dry ingredients together and add to the sugar mixture alternately with the milk. The mixture should be fairly stiff. Press into a greased baking tray. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cool before cutting into squares.
