    cabbage, finely shredded

    cauliflower, broken into florets

    fresh broccoli, broken into florets

    fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 100

    carrots, sliced in thin strips
  • 150

    Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 50
    ml
    mayonnaise
  • salt
  • pepper
  • SALAD SAUCE (optional)
  • 100
    ml
    sunflower or olive oil
  • 25
    ml
    wine vinegar
  • 25
    ml
    lemon juice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • basil
  • origanum
 

Method

 
Wash the vegetables well and place in a fairly large glass bowl without water or seasoning. Cover and microwave for 8-10 minutes on 100 per cent power. (The vegetables must still be crisp). Mix the cheese and the mayonnaise and add to the hot vegetables. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Mix well and serve while warm. This dish can also be served cold as a salad. Mix all the salad sauce ingredient together and pour over the vegetables. Add the mayonnaise and Cheddar cheese and allow to cool completely. Serves 6.
