Potato and onion bake

    ml
    butter
  • 1
    kg
    potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 30
    ml
    freshly chopped parsley
  • 10
    ml
    freshly chopped origanum
  • 450
    ml
    hot chicken stock
 

Method

1 hour
 
Use half the butter to grease a 20 cm square ovenproof dish.
Layer the potato slices in the ovenproof dish, alternating with layers of sliced onion.
Sprinkle some of the herbs and freshly ground black pepper between each layer.
Pour the stock over the potatoes and dot the surface with the remaining butter.
Bake in a preheated 180 °C oven for 45 minutes to one hour until tender and golden on top.
