Poached pears with Gorgonzola

    ml
    butter
  • 125
    ml
    port or sweet wine
  • 6
    ripe pears
  • 125
    ml
    Gorgonzola cheese
  • 125
    ml
    mascarpone cheese
 

Method

 
In a saucepan, melt butter and add port. Fry pear slices (cut into 3 slices each) in the flavoured butter for 2 minutes, or until slightly softened. Layer pears on a plate and top with Gorgonzola mixed with mascarpone cheese and juices from pan. Serves 4-6.
