Pickled grapes

  • 500
    g
    black grapes
  • 500
    g
    green grapes
  • 350
    ml
    white vinegar
  • 60
    ml
    orange juice
  • grated lemon rind
  • 150
    g
    white granulated sugar
  • 2
    cinnamon sticks
  • 2
    ml
    mixed spice
  • 6
    cloves
  • 15
    ml
    fresh ginger, peeled and grated
 

Method

 
Pack clean grapes in a sterilised jar.
Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan. Stir over heat, without boiling, until sugar has dissolved.
Bring to boil, simmer for 2 minutes. Stand for 5 minutes and strain over grapes.
Seal when cold.
