    bully beef, mashed

    Cheddar cheese, grated

    hard-boiled eggs, mashed
  • 10

    French mustard
  • 50
    ml
    finely chopped parsley
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Grease an ovenproof dish. Blend all the ingredients for the crust, using only the egg yolk, but reserving the egg white. Spread the mixture on the base and along the sides of the dish, reserving a little of it to spread on top of the pie, if desired. Prepare a white sauce using the butter, cake flour and 250 ml of the milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the remaining filling ingredients and mix well. Turn into the prepared crust. Spread any remaining mashed potato mixture on the filling. Beat the reserved egg white until soft peaks are formed and add the remaining 75 ml milk. Season with a pinch of salt. Pour over the filling and bake until golden brown. Serve immediately. Serves 4-6.
