Pasta carbonara

    tagliatelle pasta

    cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4
    large eggs

    parsley, chopped

    Cheddar cheese, grated

Fill a large saucepan three-quarters with water.
Cover with a lid and bring to the boil.
When the water boils, remove the lid, add the pasta and cook uncovered until just soft.
While the pasta is cooking, cut the rind off the bacon pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors.
Cut the bacon into strips.
Heat the butter in a frying pan and cook the bacon for about three minutes, add the garlic and cook until the bacon is crispy.
Place the eggs, parsley and cheese in a mixing bowl and mix well with a fork or whisk.
Drain the pasta, return hot pasta to the saucepan and add egg mixture and bacon.
Stir well for about two minutes.
Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
